Is there a virtual option for instruction?
The 2023-24 Sunday School/CCD program is face-to-face. The Parish program staff closely follow changes in District of Columbia and Archdiocese of Washington health and safety protocols. We are prepared to adjust format, e.g., hybrid, or virtual when necessary.
When and where are classes held?
Classes are held 11:30am – 12:30pm in St. Augustine Catholic School. 1421 V Street Northwest Washington, DC 20009 202-667-2608/2609. Sunday school students and parents enter and exit the school through the church parking lot door. Students proceed directly to assigned classrooms and sanitize their hands on entry.

How long is the program?
The program year begins Sunday, September 10th 2023 and concludes Sunday, June 2nd 2024. Holidays observed - Sundays immediately following Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Mother’s Day.
When is First Communion, and Confirmation?
Candidates for Sacraments are notified of the exact date and requirements by their teacher. Customarily, First Communion is held the first Sunday in May and Confirmation in late Spring.
What is RCIA?
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, Adapted for Children (RCIA) is a program for children 7 years old and up who have not been baptized.
