Lent is a 40-day season of prayer, fasting, and giving in preparation for the Lord's Resurrection at Easter. It begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday. During this time, we renew our efforts in prayer, penance, and giving.
There isn’t enough TIME in the day to accomplish all that we set out to do. There isn’t enough SPACE in our homes to store everything we have. And, there isn’t enough ROOM in our heads to remember everything we’re supposed to remember! When it comes to these things, we don’t wait for free time to magically appear. We create or “make” the time. This Lent, let us examine our hearts as well as our clocks; our lives as well as our calendars and make room for God in each. Make more room for God. Give God more access to your life, and then prepare to be amazed at the difference God will make in you when you do! – Fr. Patrick Smith, Lent 2023
