Third Sunday of Advent

On this third Sunday of Advent, John the Baptizer reminds us that we must not only BELIEVE but ACT; not only HEAR the word of God but HEED it. We must not only recognize the darkness around us but TESTIFY to the light – the light of Jesus Christ.
 
As we light the THIRD candle on this ADVENT WREATH, WE pray: “O come O come, Oh Lord of might, who to your tribe’s on Sinai’s height.  In ancient times they gave holy law; in cloud and majesty and awe. Rejoice! Rejoice Emmanuel, shall come to thee O Israel!”
