"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22: 6
Adapting hymns from the Lead Me Guide Me hymnal, as well as contemporary gospel songs, the Children's Choir encourages young people to participate actively in Mass. In doing so, children also learn the order of the Mass and responses.
The choir is supported by dedicated parents, grandparents, and guardians who see to it that choir members are available for rehearsals while also demonstrating the meaning of commitment.
Our mission is to teach parish youth to worship and grow in their Catholic faith through their active participation in singing during Mass.
Rehearsals are on the first and second Saturdays of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the church. If there are weddings/funerals or other events in the church at that time, rehearsals will take place at 1419 V Street in the chapel.
The Children/Youth Choir is actively seeking new members and is open to children from the ages 5 to 16 years old. It is important that parents and guardians who want their youth in the choir see to it that they are timely for rehearsals as well as Sunday Mass.
