The oldest of the St. Augustine Music Ministries, the Chorale, traces its roots to the year 1866, eight years after the founding of the "Parish for Colored Catholics." The voices of St. Augustine organized at that time to sing sacred songs of their faith, to proclaim their religious commitment through music, and to use the gift of music to raise funds for the support of the parish.
Our continuing intention today, in all the Music Ministries, is to praise Christ through song and to share the joy of His love with others.
The St. Augustine Chorale is under the direction of Alece Morgan. Eddy Cromwell directs the St. Augustine Gospel Choir.
